normal cycle cannot dry one shirt

Upon first use the normal cycle cannot dry even 1 shirt only the high cycle works. Also fairly certain we were given a used unit although we purchased it brand new. It had dirt in the drum from prior use. Terrible experience overall. See photo of drum prior to use. This dryer is completely useles. Worse purchase ever made. Customer service at LG is a nightmare and they pass the buck after dumping a defective product on us.

Keeps loosing power

The dryer would be great but it periodically stops working completely. The only solution is to turn off the breaker for 5-10 minutes and then turn back in and it will work. Two repair technicians had no other solutions for it. This is not acceptable for a new expensive appliance. All service requests are is computerized and very frustrating.

We purchased our product from Best Buy and the service was excellent. We received our call when arrival would be and installation went smoothly. I love my new Dryer as this is the 2nd one ever purchased. This replaced my 13 yr old previous one from which we brought from upstate NY 7 yrs ago. I decided to stay with LG as I like the features of this model because I never had a repair issue the entire 13 yrs I owned my other and it finally decided to quit. I cant say enough about LG Washer and Dryers but ir would be a good investment and HIGHLY recommend the quality. This model is not the highest but it does offer everything for my needs. KUDOS for LG for having the technology to create a superb product.

Excellent dryer to complement washer

Installed two weeks ago. Dryer is excellent and I am still learning the different dryer cycles. I used the steam cycle for the first time yesterday and was most pleased - wrinkles disappeared Problem with phone app but I am sure that is a problem on my end. Highly recommend this dryer

Was great while it worked...

I bought this 4 months ago and it suddently quit working wont even turn on. It worked great while it worked but its completely dead now. Tried to contact warranty support and they connected me to a servicer who is backed up and wont even get back to me at this point. So not sure Id recommend.

Nice dryer

The dryer is smarter than I am. Recently installed and it started throwing error codes. Turns out the vent line from the wall to exterior of the horse was clogged at 50 Had the line cleaned out no more error codes.

Inexplicably turns off

Sometimes at least twice in maybe 50 loads the dryer just totally shuts off and must be unplugged and plugged back in to operate. Does not blow breaker just looks like it has finished but clothes will still be wet. Cant say Ive ever seen that with another dryer. Otherwise its a great dryer. But cant give it a great rating due to that.

This dryer is also awesome Had it for 2 months now and operating flawlessly We love the ThinQ feature and app on our phones. You get status update notifications can check on status of the drying cycle can download customer dry cycles etc Plus it it very aesthetic looking and we get nothing but positive feedback from visitors on this unit

Manual settings a pain to use

Overall Im happy with this dryer. It does its job. My only wish is that it were easier to use the manual settings for example choosing heat level. Twisting the knob rotates you through a large assortment of presets but if you want to tell the thing what to do its trickier. You can adjust some of the settings on some of the presets but not all of them and the simple act of rotating the knob has become a bit irritating because theres a significant time lag between turning the knob and the computer switching over to the next preset so what should take less than a second takes more than a few. Again Im happy with it overall and dont feel a need to replace it but this seems like it might be a pretty simple thing to improve and I wish they already had.

Great Dryer

I have had this and the paired washer for a month and I am loving it so far. So many cool features like TurboSteam I like that I have the ability to customize cycles to such a detailed level. This also looks great and gives my laundry area a much more refined feel

Beautiful design

The buying process and delivery wait were difficult. I bought directly through LGs website and applying the promo they offered was nothing short of a nightmare. They also didnt sell a compatible pedestal so I had to purchase that separately. All of that considered Id still highly recommend this product. Its got a huge capacity. Its gorgeous energy efficient user friendly and LG level dependable.

Flexibility would help

I love having a new LG Washer and Dryer again. I had to give my last pair away when I moved to Germany. I would really like it if their was more flexibility to the settings for each type of Dryer and Washer setting.

Have only had the dryer hooked up for one day and a couple of loads but the link with the Thinq app is great. I knew the dryer was venting as I tedted it before I hooked it to the ductwork. After hooking it up there was no exhaust at the outdoor grate - lint dam I was able to use the remote start feature on yhe phone app to go in the crawl space and disassemble the ductwork while starting and stopping the dryer to locate the blockage. We also purchased the matching washer that links with the dryer. and the washer tells the fryer what setting to use
